This Halloween weekend 12 Columbia,SC artists partook of the open road and ventured to a place in coastal Georgia affectionally known as Bugville (Fort McAllister State Park). While many of this group have braved this hallowed ground in the past -this year there were some newcomers.
Some on the home front may have been concerned for their loved ones venturing into a world of blood (brain) sucking bugs on halloween weekend but all have survived to paint another day.
One of the highlights of this year’s excursion was an invitation to paint at Springfield Plantation , the home of Meredith Devendorf. Her luxurious Bed and Breakfast property consisting of nearly 10,000 acres is truly a world of immense coastal beauty! The photos included here were taken at her piece of paradise.
Participating artists were Barbara Yongue, Darcie Fouste, Cindy Howe, Glenda Keyes, Pam Bulak, Melinda Smith, Nancee Nixdorf, Alice Marcel, Roy Paschal, Jim Finch, Dan Greshel & David Phillips.
