The weather this weekend was cool but sunny, just the way winter in South Carolina should be. I made this small painting at Clemson’s Sandhill Research and Education Center on Sunday afternoon. I used ultramarine blue and several ochres to capture the subtle colors of the winter landscape, adding a bit of bright yellow for the sunlit side of the shed.
