This weekend, the Midlands Outdoor Painters Society (MOPS) met at the home of Barbara Yongue in Blair, SC for an evening paintout. It was a new experience for most of us, painting as the almost-full moon rose and the light faded. I finished my twilight painting around 9:30 p.m. when I could no longer see my palette, but some of the painters had lights on their hats and painted well into the darkness finishing their nocturnes around 10:30 p.m.
