On a recent plein air excursion to the beautiful small town of Ridgeway, South Carolina, I was looking for a painting spot on Main Street.  This bright green chair in front of a store along with all kinds of good stuff caught my eye.  Because I had limited time that day, I painted a small color study on location and started the larger piece which I finished later in the studio.
