On Saturday the plein air group had the privilege of painting at an old hunt club on the banks of the Broad River north of Columbia near Blair, South Carolina. We were on a deck high above the river and had a beautiful view of the river framed by trees. As usual, I started with a red ground and combined the shapes of the landscape with personal color choices.
