Although most of my paintings feature landscapes in bold colors, sometimes I want to go the opposite way and make a restful painting. This painting makes me dream of warm earth and open sky with lots of room to breathe. It is part of series of paintings that begin with a white horizon line. The painting develops in an organic way emphasizing color and texture rather than subject matter. I can see this painting in a meditation room or a cozy reading corner.
