A farm near Lake City, South Carolina inspired this painting. There was an old barn, just about to fall down, and this lane that ended in a field. I’m not sure if there was a house at one time, or if the lane was just field access. I was interested in how the trees formed a portal leading to the sunlit field in the distance.
