Amicalola Falls State Park is about 75 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia, on the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest.   A lodge near the top of the falls has an expansive view of the surrounding mountains.  This small piece was painted on the porch of the lodge.  My board was pre-toned with yellow ochre, and I painted the mountains quickly using a painting knives, concentrating on capturing the arial perspective of the receding mountain range.
