November 2nd marks the 5th Anniversary for the Village Artists.  We would like to invite you to join us in our celebration. Please stop by the gallery on November 2nd to watch our artists work and to enjoy light refreshments throughout the day (10am-8pm).

There will be 12×12 canvases, painted by our artists for this occasion. Come out and bid on your favorite paintings.  The Art auction will start on the 2nd of November and go through the 30th of November.  Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the following local charities (purchaser’s choice).

1.   Harvest Hope Food Bank– The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education. Harvest Hope feeds the hungry across 20 counties of South Carolina. and distributed over 28 million pounds of food last year, feeding approximately 38,000 people a week.  There will be food donation boxes at the Gallery, so please bring some canned goods to help out.

2.  SQ Rescue, Inc.- is a non-profit, “no-kill” animal rescue group (primarily dogs) that has been rescuing dogs for over 20 years. We screen applicants and find forever homes for our rescues.  We operate solely on donations and volunteers, with no paid staff whatsoever.  Many of our dogs are in foster care – which provides them the opportunity to be house-broken, leash-trained, and socialized with other dogs.  They are then ready for adoption, once the best home for them is found.  Volunteers and donations are always needed and appreciated. SQ Rescue places hundreds of dogs (and some cats) in loving homes every year.
