Standing in Shadows

On a recent trip to Edisto State Park, I was fascinated by the contrast of the dark back-lit tree silhouettes and the brilliant reflection of the sky in the marsh created by the late afternoon sun.   This small piece was painted quickly on location as I tried to capture the contrast of light and dark.
