Palm branches from the Palm Sunday service at our church inspired this week’s gelli prints. The palms are larger than other garden leaves, so I’ve been experimenting with printing in a larger format using my 14×12” gelli plate. For these prints, I cut drawing paper to 18×16” to leave a 2” border around the print. As usual, I printed in layers using the palm branches as masks, combining the silhouette prints and ghosts to add texture and depth.
