Goof, then Carry On

Detail of journal page,

Last week I was telling you about how I work an exercise from an art technique book in my visual journal when I need inspiration. Somehow, I wrote the blog post, but didn’t publish it in time for the automation to send the newsletter to my subscribers. * I tried to send it later, but couldn’t figure it out.  Isn’t that the way it goes? Making art is easy compare to figuring out blogging and email automation. Anyway, here is the post from last week. Read this first and this week’s post will make more sense.

A glorious mess,
experimenting with design guides

This week, I continued working on the same page. I made tiny collages based on design ideas in Art Quilt Collage by Deborah Boschert. Making these tiny collages is a good way to practice design ideas and color combinations.
