Yesterday the weather was unusually moderate for August in South Carolina, so I went over to the Sandhill Research and Education Center to paint.  I found a spot in the shade and selected this view of one of the barns.  I was attracted by the contrast of the geometric shapes of the buildings against the dark natural forms of the trees.  Unfortunately, there were a lot of bugs where I was standing, so I finished this piece quickly and went back to my studio!
