Practicing Stencils

When I don’t know what to draw, my default is coneflowers.

I drew some coneflowers and cut these stencils from a manilla file folder using an Xacto knife. Then I practiced gelli plate printing techniques using black, white, yellow, gold, and magenta paint. Isn’t it fun how many different looks you can get with two simple stencils and a limited palette of colors?

Really like these. Hope you’ll share the stencil you cut and your process of layering Wednesday. Did you use stencil as a resist and stamp at times?
