This week I’ve added more layers of paint to my coneflower painting. I darkened the stone wall and added a pink sky. I covered some of the white spots in the background that were distracting and lightened areas of the foreground. At this point in the process, it’s a “push-pull” process of adjusting values to lead the eye around.
Now I’ll let the painting sit for a couple of days to see if it needs anything else before signing it and submitting it to the fair before the September 1 deadline.
