I’ve been developing some of the layered prints that I described in my September 28^th post. As I work, I remind myself of my intentions:

• COLOR: Rich warm autumn colors with touches of blue sky
• SHAPE: Leaves, grasses, rocks, garden structure
• VALUE: Full range of values, mostly middle to dark value with some lights.

These three pieces used the same color palette mixed in different proportions. After looking at the pieces, I decided to add some details with stamps and ink line work. Each piece is different, but they are working as a group because of the color palette and garden imagery.
